The full brother of 2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharoah, St. Patrick’s Day will be back to the races Saturday and looking for his first win in the care of new trainer Aidan O’Brien.

The son of Piononeerof the Nile ran third last out in the Curragh Racecourse’s Millennium Millionaire Celebration Stakes on June 30. That, his first start in 10 months, will be followed by the Minstrel Stakes going seven furlongs over the same course in Ireland.

Six others were declared to run, with 3-year-old St. Patrick’s Day facing horses as old as 8 in this field.

Post time is 11:55 a.m. ET. The race should be broadcast on TVG and available for streaming on U.S.-based advanced deposit wagering services such as NYRA Bets.

St. Patrick’s Day is plenty eligible to improve. In his last start, which came with Saturday’s rider, jockey Ryan Moore, up, St. Patrick’s Day tipped out in the stretch and improved his position. But he eventually leveled off.

That was the first start since the former Bob Baffert trainee, who broke his maiden last September at Del Mar, had run since given time off to heal a tendon injury. O’Brien thinks highly of the colt, as he considered running St. Patrick’s Day at June’s Royal Ascot meeting before slightly delaying his sophomore debut.
