Finally worked out today. 4f in 50.20b (31/44).
WHAT WAS THAT. Someone saw it? He misses the break by 5? 8 lenghts? And still won. Wow. Wow!
Connections are also looking at the Withers for Admire. The 14 post made scratching him easy from the Le Comte.
Admire may run at Aqueduct in the Withers. Probably scratching from the Le Comte.
Took this one out of his normal energy distribution and tried to wire. When an early/presser runs as early they NEVER do as well.....The early leader in the race won it.
I wanna see all these Fillies and or Mares do well this year and hopefully all meet up but If not then all have a good year 1.) Enable 2.) Winx 3.) Almond Eye 4.) Sea of Class 5.) Magical 6.) Magic Wand
Ran an OK 3rd as the choice. We'll see what Asmussen does next with him.
This filly is in with a great chance to win the turf
Ispolini has looked awfully good in both carnival starts now at Meydan, IMO. He was 2nd behind Bin Battuta over 12f right out of the gate coming off a near 8 month lay-off on his first carnival start, and he seemed to really thrive for the step up in trip to 14f in his win today at Meydan. I think we'll see him win at group level at some point during the Dubai Carnival. Maybe in something like the G3 Nad Al Sheba Trophy or G2 Dubai City of Gold? Who knows, he might even run a blinder in the G2 Dubai Gold Cup, which is the race he's being pointed at on world cup night according to trainer Charlie Appleby.
Top 5 horses of the last 5 years are who?...Here are my Top 5 in order #1 American Pharoah #2 Gun Runner #3 California Chrome #4 Arrogate #5 Accelerate
Best horses of the last 5 years in my opinion #1 American Pharoah #2 Gun Runner #3 California Chrome #4 Arrogate #5 Accelerate
My bet is on Roiland for the upcoming LeComte. I think he has what it takes and will surprise with a win.
The exciting "Masar" is out in Dubai, he will soon be starting training again. Hopefully we might see him at Royal Ascot in June!!!! That's great news.
  • ILuvTurfRacing · Saw the article on the Racing Post web-site. Sure hoping to see him line up in the G1 Prince of Wales's Stakes or the G2 Hardwicke Stakes at Royal-Ascot, which I'm assuming would be one of the two likely races that Charlie Appleby would target with Masar at Royal-Ascot, although that's admittedly pure speculation on my part. · 5 hours ago this comment is for the Bid to read
no photo's but go gettem Team Robert E. Low and Todd Pletcher ---- good luck with the bloodline Cee's Tizzy by Relaunch
not even as a 4 year old
Aerolithe looked like a big horse arriving at Gulfstream Park. Wow. If he can perform well over this turf course it would be great to see an international winner to encourage broader participation in the future. Only 2-3 international horses this year is not too much. And if a Japanese horse were to win it might open access to the substantial Japanese betting pools in future years which are not available this year.
West Texas = just a thought
Drayden has a nice problem come early May.Sitting on my Derby Favs..Can't wait to see them run again.
  • pointgiven23 via Disqus · In Drayden's last interview he lost the mount on Instagrand. Owner going in a different direction, guy is an odd bird to say the least. Wouldn't be surprised if that's a byproduct of his success with the Baffert barn of late. · 11 hours ago
McCraken is one horse that sticks out to me of from the last 2 or so years that I just really wish had turned out to be a better runner. He had the flashy name, the experienced connections, and a loyal fan base, and he did okay at 3, but he proved to just not quite be up to par in the older handicap division. Best of luck to him at stud.
  • pointgiven23 via Disqus · They tried to make him something he wasn't (route horse). I always wanted to see this horse focus on the 7f to 1 turn mile races. His dam preferred going shorter. They took their shots but I definitely feel like he could have been managed better. · 11 hours ago

Through hands-on work at barns, I learned valuable lessons about Thoroughbred conformation, gait and temperament and later worked with Throughbred rescue/re-train organizations. I have committed my passion for horses to the intensive study of pedigree and breeding theory for the last 20 years.

I support clients with all aspects of pedigree/breeding analysis, research, sales, catalogue review and recommendations on claims or private sales. Clients include national leading owners, racing/breeding syndicates, the little guy with one mare, and everyone in between. 10-20% of all proceeds are donated to Thoroughbred rescue & retraining groups. Check out my website, Iron Maidens Thoroughbreds, and the IMTBreds blog.
