Each week, Horse Racing Nation hosts EJ Clark's Kentucky Winner's Circle podcast looking ahead to the top Kentucky Derby preps and other doings in racing.

On a new Kentucky Winner's Circle podcast, EJ Clark speaks with Tom Amoss a week out from his 3-year-old filly's try at the Fair Grounds Oaks (G2).

Already an open-lengths winner at Churchill Downs, where later this spring there are hopes she can contend in the Kentucky Oaks, Serengeti Empress won her season debut also with ease in the Rachel Alexandra (G2).

Also on this show, Horse Racing Nation editor Jonathan Lintner joins to handicap Rebel Stakes (G2) undercard races headlined by the Azeri Stakes (G2), which will send postward four Grade 1 winners.

Listen in full below, and look for another edition of the Kentucky Winner's Circle podcast back here next week.

Meet E. J. Clark

E. J., a 30-year broadcast radio veteran, has covered Thoroughbred racing for most of that time. After 22 years on the air as a DJ and program director, he joined his radio station’s sales staff at WTMT- AM in Louisville, Ky., and created what is now the city’s longest-running horse racing talk show, the Kentucky Winner’s Circle, in 1997.

Originally known as “The Road to Racing,” the show has aired on a number of local stations — it can now be heard regularly on Big X Sports Radio, 96.1 FM and 1450 AM, WXVW — with this podcast aimed at reaching a new audience of horse racing fans.

When racing’s in session at Kentucky’s major circuits, you can find Clark, microphone in hand, roaming the barn area, with those interviews and more coming to Horse Racing Nation during Triple Crown season.
