The Kentucky Winner's Circle Podcast presents a 3-part series on the practice of pinhooking in racing.

Check out all three parts, featuring the story of American Freedom, discussion of Medina Spirit in the Kentucky Derby and interviews with Steve Cauthen, who rode Affirmed to the Triple Crown, as well as his Louisville-based business partner Mark O. Board.

The entire series is available below.

Meet E. J. Clark

E. J., a 30-year broadcast radio veteran, has covered Thoroughbred racing for most of that time. After 22 years on the air as a DJ and program director, he joined his radio station’s sales staff at WTMT- AM in Louisville, Ky., and created what is now the city’s longest-running horse racing talk show, the Kentucky Winner’s Circle, in 1997.

Lane Gold co-hosts the Kentucky Winner's Circle Podcast with Clark.

When racing’s in session at Kentucky’s major circuits, you can find Clark, microphone in hand, roaming the barn area, with those interviews and more coming to Horse Racing Nation during Triple Crown season.
