Watch: 75-year-old outrider corrals full-speed horse

While 75-year-old Kevin Wynne's athletic feat has gone viral in his native Australia and beyond, the former jockey and Cranbourne Turf Club clerk (outrider) insists it's just part of the job.

Prior to last Friday's fourth race, Wynne chased down the mare Lady Belle, who dumped her jockey and was flying in full stride.

Racing.com's video of Wynne snagging the loose horse on his first try, then successfully gearing her down, quickly spread. Later interviewed by the Australian outlet, he said:

You're out there to do a job and that it to help protect the jockeys and the horses...She didn't make it easy for me and it took a couple of grabs but we got there in the end.

"I'm just happy everyone was OK."
