Today on HorseCenter, your hosts Brian Zipse and Matt Shifman preview and offer picks for the first three Kentucky Derby preps in 2021. The races come from across the country in New York, California and Florida.
The Jerome at Aqueduct, which kicks off the new year on Friday, is the third official Derby qualifying race to be run in New York. Saturday’s Sham (G3) at Santa Anita features Life is Good, the latest sensation from the barn of Bob Baffert. Also on Saturday is the Mucho Macho Man at Gulfstream Park, which drew a field of 10 who are using the race to see if they can be serious contenders for the first Saturday in May.
