Bob's the master of getting a peak effort out of a horse off a layoff........he's been doing it for 25 years all the way back to Thirty Slews. This horse will have no excuses if he gets beat.

Who going to win?
On a completely different note, can somebody create a page for the wonderfully named "Frigid Sister", 2 yr old filly who stormed to a very easy victory at Laurel Park yesterday. She looks really decent, could be a contender for next year's Kentucky Oaks, never heard of the trainer though!!!!
  • Goblin · She has a page at HRN now, but the race record is not complete. Anyone with an account here can enter that information. · 4 hours ago

GUN RUNNER.....whitney,woodward,stephen foster, dubai, breeders cup, penn derby, clark handicap,travers....all grade 1s.....these his past 8 races all big races and 5 wins and 2 seconds and 1 third...he ran 1mile quarter multiple times also...yet he has no chance yet keen ice does..keep in mind keen ice has finished 7th,8th,4th in that stretch with only 1 lonely grade 2 win,lmao...guess you people think enable can beat the might mare winx also, lol
  • Mark Kennedy via Disqus · dont forget KI was third in the classic last yr and has run in S ca which gun runner has not dont forget t hat gun runner has typically folded in big time moments. Dont forget there are 5 other horses that have speed , so he wont be alone up there. dont forget that this distance is better suited to KI as well is being the perfect set up for his style. I',m not saying that either are going to win but dont make it seem like there is no logic because there is plenty of logic. You come in here starting out with a smart mouth like you know it all. WHY? because you want attention. no brainer Now that you take to the window and cash that check · 3 hours ago
Does anyone know where the name "Limato" comes from?
pavel in his 3rd career race and 1st race vs older horses ran stride for stride with keen ice and yet you guys say pavel overmatched yet keen ice has a shot...i just dont understand are you guys thinking while your typing ?? gun runner done more in 3 months than keen ice has done in his 3 year career yet you guys knock gun runner and praise keen ice ?? im sorry but what the hell are you guys smoking
Baffert, after Gun Runner's work: “I’m gonna scratch,” he cracked. “That horse has gotten stronger and stronger.”
  • slewcrew 7778 via Disqus · Too good to bounce? Only the really special ones don't. We'll see if he's in that category. 5 horses are going into this race off lifetime best TG figs. Not only is Gun Runner one of them, but he also posted triple digit early & late pace figs in his last race for the first time ever. If he really is that special to take another step forward, this will be one for the ages! · 2 hours ago
No way he doesn’t hit the board
Great work for this great mare the other day. Really looks like she's ready to go out on top
Effortless work today, 46 4/5. Sitting on go for his title defense.
She had a colt by Bernardini. Stonestreet posted a photo of her weanling on Instagram. Meet Rachel's Valentina's full brother in blood. He is on the left next to Forest Music's foal. See here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BamSHSthnNy/
With all due respect to the jockeys that have died on the track (the best known being Mike Venezia), I don't think there is much debate that her death in the match race is considered the most tragic moment in American racing history.
50-1 right now in Vegas future Odds!
Hello that was some work today! Hard not to be excited for next weekend after that one
  • kstott524 via Disqus · Thought he looked great also. Looked like he really wanted to run today. Really almost a 10f workout. I had him in 1:51 and change for 9 and 2:06 flat for 10f. Ready to roll. · 6 hours ago
Meet Christina Moore

I’m Christina Moore, and my passion for horses has been lifelong.  I caught the racing bug around age 8 and I haven't looked back.  I graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Animal Sciences and a minor in Business, with dreams of a career in horse racing.  I have since followed that dream to the University of Arizona's Race Track Industry Program where I am currently a graduate student slated to finish my studies in May 2013.

This summer I’m interning at Del Mar, and since I was not fortunate enough to grow up near any track-let alone a big one- I am loving being submersed in the California racing scene.  As far as my future, I love everything about horse racing, and I am especially interested in marketing, as well as safety and welfare of the athletes. I hope to both make the sport better and share my love of the sport with people everywhere, making it more than just an afterthought on the American sports landscape.  With this blog I hope to give you a little insight into what's going on at Del Mar this summer.  Enjoy!
