Wednesday’s 7th race from Presque Isle Downs is a $32,000 entry level allowance event for fillies and mares traveling a mile and seventy yards on the all-weather surface (Post Time 7:15 p.m. EDT).
No. 7 YA BEAUTY (7-2) should get a good setup in a race with multiple early-pressing types. She fired from off the pace in both maiden claiming routes on all-weather ground earlier this year. She exits a productive turf route at Indiana Grand and appears poised to run a quality race in her first start in more than two months.
No. 1 Happy Bee (8-1) finished in the top three in her last eight starts. She stretches back out and should attend the pace from the rail.
No. 3 Princess Javoncia (3-1) is an early-pressing type with an affinity for minor awards, and the 2-for-20 filly is usually in the mix on all-weather ground.
No. 9 Village Queen (4-1) is probably up against it from a race shape standpoint. She got caught in a duel with Princess Javoncia Sept. 30 and the same thing might happen again. She needs to figure out a way to shake loose early.
No. 8 Feet of Feather (5-1) rallied for the place in her last two local starts at this distance. She is just 2-for-24 lifetime but frequently rallies for minor awards and can be used underneath.
