Wednesday's Best Bet: Wait For It might attempt theft in Swatara

Wednesday's 2nd race from Penn National is the $100,000 Swatara Stakes for 3-year-olds and up traveling a mile and a sixteenth on the main track (Post Time 6:27 p.m. ET).

#3 WAIT FOR IT (9-2) tuned up for this with a rallying place finish in an extended sprint at Parx Oct. 29, and that was his first start in more than five months. The early-pressing gelding is 3-for-4 at Penn National, and he might attempt a theft under Kendrick Carmouche.

#2 Someday Jones (4-1) split a pair of next-out stakes winners in a similar $100k stakes event at Parx Oct. 12. The PA-bred is 2-for-3 at Penn National and figures to stalk the pace.

#9 Monongahela (6-1) was overmatched in his last pair in the Kelso (G2) and Whitney (G1). He easily captured the Iselin (G3) at Monmouth before that, and he finished 2nd in this event last year. He usually finishes in the top three at this course and distance.

#1 Game Changer (3-1) makes his first start in more than eleven months. The lightly raced 6-year-old is 8-for-17 lifetime, and he will probably stalk the pace from the inside post.
