Wednesday's Best Bet: Sights and Sounds should roll late at Turfway

December 05, 2018 03:41pm

Wednesday’s fifth race from Turfway Park is a starter allowance event for 3-year-olds and up dashing six furlongs on the all-weather surface (Post Time - 8:11 p.m. ET).

#1 SIGHTS AND SOUNDS (5-1) turns back in distance for +ROI route-to-sprint trainer Michael Lauer and he gets pace to chase in the paper race. He owns a couple of wins at six furlongs and this will be his first start on all-weather ground.

#5 Alien Season (5-2) exits a turf sprint win on yielding ground versus New York-bred foes at Belmont and he won a claiming sprint on all-weather ground at Arlington Aug. 10. He figures to stalk the pace and get first run on the closers.

#7 Forerun (5-2) went all the way in his last four dirt sprints and is a serious pace player if he handles the all-weather surface.
