No. 6 Mr Dumas (4-1) is a consistent turf performer with tactical speed. There is plenty of pace to chase in the paper race and he should get a jump on the deep closers. John Ortiz shows a profit with shippers and short layoff runners.
No. 7 Tut’s Revenge (5-1) smartly captured his last pair including a stakes win in the local mud May 25. The early-pressing type landed the show in this event last year.
No. 8 Goalie (12-1) returns to turf and cuts back from marathon distances. He was a competent late runner on turf in California and might be able to rally for a share.
No. 1 Street Ready (8-1) and #2 Spanish Kingdom (6-1) can compete for trifecta awards from off the pace. One or both might work out comfortable inner trips behind the speed.
