Wednesday's Best Bet: Broadway Lady has starring role at Keeneland

Wednesday’s 7th race from Keeneland is an $83,000 allowance event for fillies and mares traveling a mile and a sixteenth on the turf course (Post Time 4:24 p.m. ET).

#12 BROADWAY LADY (5-1) stalked and easily graduated at this course and distance last fall, and she also won an entry level turf affair at the trip at Fair Grounds Jan. 10. The improving filly exits a rallying runner-up finish at one mile and winner Raven’s Cry returned to capture the Miss Houston Turf Stakes.

#11 Pocket Square (3-1) is an overseas transplant making her first start for Chad Brown. She won two of her first three starts in 2019 and ran last of six when last seen in July 2020. Irad Ortiz Jr. wins races with this barn and she is probably ready to roll in her first start in more than nine months.

#3 Tuned (7-2) is a late runner dropping out of a pair of graded events. She captured her stateside debut for Graham Motion at Keeneland in the fall of 2019.

#8 In a Hurry (8-1) finished 3rd in her first start in almost a year at Gulfstream Park Feb. 12. She earned her best career speed rating that day and has every right to move forward for Shug McGaughey.

#9 Walk in Marrakesh (10-1) came very close to winning a trio of graded stakes since arriving in North America. This is her first non-stakes attempt in quite some time but she has not won since July 2019.
