Tuesday's Best Bet: Zestful cleans up in Zia Park Championship

Tuesday’s 9th race from Zia Park is the $75,000 Zia Park Championship Handicap for three-year-olds and up traveling a mile and an eighth on the main track (Post Time 5:36 p.m. EST).

No. 4 ZESTFUL (5-2) might have a tactical edge in this event and early-pressing types are strong in local dirt routes. He got back on the winning track in a similar stakes at Fresno Oct. 17, and he usually goes out there and gives his all. The eleven-time winner gets the services of Flavien Prat.

No. 2 Mine That Star (5-1) won all three of his dirt sprint starts this year and he earned an improved speed rating Oct. 12. He is bred to handle the added ground of this race and should be forwardly placed.

No. 9 Tenfold (8-5) has not won since the 2019 Pimlico Special (G3), and he has run seventeen times since. He missed by a nose Sept. 18 and finished well in front of Zestful that day, but the inconsistent late runner is tough to play on top at this price.
