Tuesday's Best Bet: Paynes Prairie can ship and win at Turf Paradise

December 04, 2018 10:47am

Tuesday’s fifth race from Turf Paradise is an optional claiming event for 3-year-olds and up dashing six furlongs on the main track (Post Time 4:37 p.m. ET).

#1 PAYNES PRAIRIE (4-1) is a first time gelding shipping in from Northern California. He looked good winning a $16,000 claimer at this distance at Fresno last fall and he was an even 5th in his needed return at Pleasanton June 29. Profitable sprint rider Chad Lindsay takes the call and he will probably stalk the pace from the rail.

#4 Grand Palais (9-2) stubbed badly at the start in his first local start Nov. 5. He showed speed in all three of his six furlong wins at Emerald Downs earlier this year.

#7 Fender Bender (7-2) is 0-for-6 with five minor awards at Turf Paradise. He owns running style versatility and is a solid trifecta threat.

The Plays:

#1 to win

Quinella 1/4-7

Trifecta 1-4/ALL/7

Recent Best Bet Winners:

DEC 2 - Kingsport/Silent Poet Exacta ($18.10), Trifecta ($38.10)
