Tuesday's Best Bet: Dixie's Two Stents moves along at Parx

Tuesday’s 8th race from Parx Racing is a starter allowance event for three-year-olds and up dashing six and one-half furlongs on the main track (Post Time 4:04 p.m. EDT).

No. 5 DIXIE'S TWO STENTS (3-1) was nabbed out of his last by sharp first after the claim trainer Jamie Ness. I liked this one a few times when he raced for Doug O’Neill in California. He cruised in his $40k maiden win at Santa Anita Feb. 4, and was a solid 3rd in his next start at that same venue March 25. He shipped to Keeneland and easily won a restricted claimer April 23. This is his first start as a gelding and he projects a decent stalking trip.

No. 6 Five Dreams (6-1) was part of the exacta in all five starts at this distance. He exits a local win at this distance as the favorite and was claimed out of that heat by a quality outfit.

No. 7 Cant Stop This Man (6-1) usually runs his early-pressing race at Parx and he enjoys this distance. The consistent gelding should make his presence felt throughout.

No. 9 Straight Shot (7-2) finished in the top three in all four starts this year. He projects an outside stalking trip in his first local outing and Sutherland wins races with Delgado.

No. 1 Feast (4-1) exits a determined front running victory on a good track at Monmouth May 15. He is the inside speed.
