Tuesday's Best Bet: Beta Lake's rivals up the creek at Lone Star

Tuesday’s 9th race from Lone Star Park is a $35,000 entry level allowance event for three-year-olds and up dashing five furlongs on the turf course (Post Time 6:45 p.m. ET).

#5 BETA LAKE (9-2) captured two of his three turf starts and should be part of the pace. He established a clear early lead in both of his wins, and he must be respected if he shakes loose early.

I played #8 Tigerbeach (7-5) in his last two turf sprint starts at Santa Anita, and he ran well without winning both times. He likes this distance and might run these down for the productive Cabrera/Broberg team.

#9 Bob’s Bad Boy (8-1) is a competent turf sprinter with running style versatility. He might be able to pick up a minor award.

#1 Tumbling Sky (3-1) hit the ground running as the winning favorite in his dirt sprint debut at Saratoga last summer. He was part of the pace before weakening in a pair of salty dirt sprints at Oaklawn earlier this year, and he should be in the hunt throughput if he handles turf for Steve Asmussen.
