Tuesday’s fifth race from Penn National is an optional claiming event for Pennsylvania-bred 3-year-olds and up dashing six furlongs on the main track. The scheduled post time is 7:49 p.m. EST.

No. 3 Annamated Moon (5-2) stalked and smartly scored in a local $16k claiming sprint on Sept. 16, and the place and show finishers both won their next starts. His new trainer Kimberly Graci excels with her first-after-the-claim starters.
No. 7 Zertz (5-2) cuts back to his winning distance in his third start after a layoff. He probably will press outside.
No. 1 Martinkelly (4-1) is the inside speed exiting a sharp front-running victory in the local slop. He confidently climbs the class ladder and must be respected at a speed-friendly distance.
No. 5 Handsome Cat (7-2) has not won since 2020, and I would rather include him underneath. The California transplant is not trained by David Jacobson, and he will probably stalk the pace at a distance he enjoys.
