No. 4 Whatmakessammyrun (7-2) was not disgraced as a 29-1 outsider in the Jaipur (G1) last time. He stalked and scored in a pair of turf starts at this distance last year under Flavien Prat. He aired in a local maiden turf sprint in 2020 and should be competitive in this heat.
No. 1 Principled Stand (4-1) captured three of four turf starts at longer distances for Chad Brown. He is 2-for-2 at Belmont and will probably try to get involved early from the inside post under his winning rider Irad Ortiz Jr.
No. 2 Big Package (6-1) is a competent, late-running turf sprinter. He is worth considering if the pace heats up. His stablemate No. 7 Yes and Yes (5-1) won his last two local turf sprints and his tactical speed should serve him well.
No. 8 Pulsate (4-1) is 2-for-14 overall on turf and likes earning minor awards at this course and distance. This is his first start in half a year, and he might be a bigger threat underneath.
