#8 TIGER BLOOD (7-2) should be tough at this distance. Michael Maker claimed him for $62,500 April 24, and he has run three times since. He dueled through strong splits and weakened late in the Shakertown (G2) July 11, rallied to finish a troubled 2nd on soft turf in a similar $100,000 affair at Ellis Park Aug. 2, and stalked outside and weakened on soft turf at six panels in a graded three event at Kentucky Downs Sept. 12. The early-pressing type is deadly at five furlongs and can rediscover his winning ways.
#2 Texas Wedge (9-5) figures to save ground stalking the pace under Paco Lopez. He won back-to-back grass sprint stakes in January for sharp turf sprint trainer Peter Miller, and he drops out of a trio of graded races.
#10 Francatelli (3-1) easily went all the way in his last three starts. He continues to work fast in the morning and is probably going to attempt a wire job from an outer post under Joe Bravo.
#4 Love You Much (15-1) is worth considering underneath at a price. The fairly consistent late runner enters in decent form and fired in both previous local turf attempts.
#8 to win
