#5 LEMOONA (8-1) was in too deep versus Beau Recall, Storm the Hill, and Vasilika in Del Mar's Yellow Ribbon (G2) on Aug. 3, and that race was too short for her. She is dangerous in long turf routes, and today’s rider Joel Rosario guided her to a big optional claiming win at a mile and an eighth at Santa Anita April 6.

#1 Gaining (3-1) won a Group 3 affair in her final start in France last fall, and she ran well without winning in all three U.S. turf stakes outings.

#6 Gentle Ruler (5-2) had her four-race win streak snapped in an even fourth-place finish in the Waya (G3) at Saratoga Aug. 4. She fits with these and can start a new win streak today.

#8 Over Thinking (12-1) exits a neck defeat in a minor turf stakes marathon at Del Mar. She has won here before, and her new rider Jose Ortiz should have options with the versatile mare.

Wagers:

#5 to win
