No. 1 Leader of the Band (9-2) is a gem of consistency for profitable layoff and graded-stakes trainer John Servis. She won the restricted Summer Colony at this distance on Aug. 19, and she should save all the ground behind the speed under Luis Saez.

No. 4 Played Hard (4-5) had her two-race win streak snapped when finishing a clear, distant third behind Malathaat in the Spinster (G1) on Oct. 9. She easily won the local Locust Grove on Sept. 17 and figures to be a handful in this spot.

No. 2 Bellamore (5-1) is on the upswing for Simon Callaghan. She completed the trifecta in a pair of turf routes this year, including the Rodeo Drive last time. She is 0-for-4 on dirt with a pair of runner-up finishes, and she reconnects with her winning pilot Martin Garcia.
