Thursday's Best Bet: Kinetic Sky full of energy at Keeneland

Thursday’s 7th race from Keeneland is an optional claiming event for 3-year-olds traveling a mile and an eighth on the main track (Post Time 4:24 p.m. ET).

#2 KINETIC SKY (5-2) improved his speed ratings in all four starts for Brad Cox, and he earned the best last race number in a show finish in an Oaklawn Park dirt route March 5. Tyler Gaffalione should have options with the versatile $450k son of Runhappy.

#1 Promise Keeper (2-1) picked up his feet once in three outings and that good effort was an easy front running maiden win in the slop at Gulfstream Park Feb. 6. There is a good chance of rain at Keeneland on April 8 and he probably has a decent shot if the track is wet and he shakes loose early.

#6 Good Culture (7-2) rallied from far back to capture his flat mile debut in the mud at Aqueduct Feb. 20, and runner-up Sono Grato was next-out winner. He might be in trouble if he falls too far behind early.

Wagers:

#2 to win
