Thursday's Best Bet: Hitters Park can round the bases at Woodbine

#5 HITTERS PARK (4-1) was claimed for $25k last September, and rallied to miss by a head in a local all-weather dash at five panels November 2019. He returned to action in a local turf sprint July 16, and he stalked and scored vs. starter allowance foes that day. He ran well in both starts since the Drexler claim, and he can step up and make it two straight if he avoids a bounce.

#8 Piven (2-1) is 5-for-11 overall at Woodbine at 2-for-2 at this distance. He exits a nice local victory at 6.5 furlongs, and an outside stalking trip is anticipated.

#3 Circle of Friends (8-1) finished a neck behind Piven last time. Blinkers have seemingly helped this one, and he likes this abbreviated distance.

#2 Silent Jimmie (6-1) is worth considering underneath. He is o-for-21 at Woodbine with 13 minor awards, and he rallied to hit the board in his last two local sprints.
