Thursday's Best Bet: Brody's Honor springs back at Gulfstream

Thursday’s 8th race from Gulfstream Park is an optional claiming event for Florida-bred fillies and mares traveling one mile on the turf course (Post Time 4:11 p.m. EST).

No. 1 BRODY’S HONOR (7-2) likes to get involved early but was taken out of her game in a similar local spot Dec. 24. Her new rider Luis Saez has strong stats when he teams up with Jose D’Angelo, and she will almost certainly attend the pace with a clean beginning.

No. 4 Souper All Star (3-1) might move forward in her second start after a short layoff for the recently hot Gonzalez/Casse team. A stalking trip is expected.

No. 5 Yolanda’s Pride (5-2) might be the one to catch. She bounced back with an improved runner-up finish Dec. 24, and she has a good record at this course and distance.

No. 6 Causingahullbaloo (9-2) chased from 2nd and ended up a close 3rd in the common Dec. 24 affair. She ran well in all four turf starts and figures to stalk the pace in her second start after a layoff.
