Sunday’s 9th race from Santa Anita Park is a $50,000 maiden claiming event for fillies and mares dashing six and one-half furlongs on the turf course (Post Time 7:52 p.m. ET).
#6 SHE'SA PERFECTLADY (3-1) is a $200k purchase turning back and dropping out of the straight maiden ranks. Flavien Prat takes the call and the class and distance moves make a lot of sense.
#3 Fabiolla (6-1) finished 3rd in a couple of local turf sprints last year. She competed at Woodbine in her last four starts and hit the board in two of those including a runner-up in a turf sprint last fall. She is back in California and Jeff Mullins has new now, and Juan Hernandez takes the call.
#11 Bristol Bayou (7-2) turned back and finished nicely for the place Jan. 18. This six and one-half furlong distance is better for closers and the 0-for-12 filly might finally be able to graduate.
#6 to win
