#8 EMBOLDEN (9-2) fired trifecta shots in all five sprints, and his numbers are climbing. The versatile colt stretches out and returns to dirt. Stidham has good stats with his first route starters.

#4 Answer In (5-2) ran well in both maiden sprints at Churchill, and earned an improved number in an easy victory at seven panels Oct. 27 (runner-up next-out winner). The $175k Keeneland sales grad is bred to go this far and will probably try to pounce from midpack for the productive Castellano/Cox team.

#9 Shoplifted (5-1) easily won his Saratoga sprint bow, and caught the slop and rallied to finish 2nd behind a runaway winner in the Hopeful (G1) second time out. He failed to fire in his last two grade one routes at Santa Anita, and might bounce back in this easier spot.

#10 Maximiliano (5-1) finished 9+ behind Gouverneur Morris in his Saratoga debut in the slop Sept. 2, and the dueling front runner tried hard for the place that day. He dueled throughout and prevailed by a head in a fast track sprint second time out, and the 2-3 finishers were next-out winners. He stretches out and should be forwardly placed.

#5 Jungle Runner (15-1) exits back-to-back local wins for Asmussen. He numbers are rising and he can compete here with another forward move.

#3 Rowdy Yates (7-2) is an Oklahoma-bred with a 4-for-6 record, and he is 2-for-2 at Remington. He relaxed nicely as the strong favorite in his last two local state bred stakes wins.

#1 Piece of Work (SCR) set below par fractions and kept on going in his local dirt sprint maiden romp Nov. 15. He would have had a class, distance and pace test today.

#11 Kirkcules (30-1) ran well in both local routes vs. Oklahoma-bred company. A minor award is not impossible.

#2 Alternate Time (20-1) is 2-for-2 in local sprints. He needs to take a step forward in his first route attempt.

#6 Shipman’s Song (30-1) ran away from Oklahoma-bred maiden sprinters in his fourth start Nov. 25. He should be forwardly placed.

#7 Southgate (30-1) was no match vs. Rowdy Yates in his last two state bred stakes starts.

#12 Slew Tang Clan (50-1) is a maiden making his fifth start. He looks overmatched.
