No. 1 SET SAIL (7-2) is an intriguing California shipper for Richard Mandella. He was 3rd as the beaten favorite in his seven panel bow Feb. 26, and stretched out, set the pace, and aired at one mile March 27. He owns the best pace ratings and should be able to make the lead from the rail under Joel Rosario, and I would not be surprised if he went all the way again.

No. 3 Complete Agenda (8-1) might fit with these for Todd Pletcher. I like the pedigree and he is on the improve. His maiden win at this distance at Aqueduct on April 21 was solid, and he can get there if the pace heats up a bit.

No. 2 Electability (7-2) was no threat in his turf route bow at Saratoga last summer. He returned in a one mile maiden race at Aqueduct March 5, and he pressed and won that one, and he dueled and gamely scored again April 8. His pace ratings are not strong and I expect him to stalk the inside speed.

No. 6 Western River (6-1) has no early speed but he packs a big late kick. He is bred to run all day and is hoping for a duel up front.

No. 4 We the People (3-1) looked good in his first two wins before racing wide from the outside post and fading in the Arkansas Derby (G1). The Oaklawn Park sophomore males were below par this year.

No. 5 Golden Glider (4-1) exits an okay 4th place finish in the Blue Grass (G1), and he showed improved positional speed that day. I am not sure what to make of this one. Classic Causeway ran away from him in a pair of Tampa Bay stakes races over the winter and he lacks acceleration on dirt. I think he is better on all-weather ground.

No. 7 Cooke Creek (15-1) was an early bloomer but did not make progress when he stepped up and stretched out. He adds blinkers and projects an outside stalking trip.

No. 8 State Planning (15-1) won his last two flat mile starts vs. New York-bred foes. He needs to run faster and will try to get involved late.
