Saturday's Best Bet: Pipeline pours it on in Perryville

Saturday's 7th race from Keeneland is the $150,000 Perryville Stakes for three-year-olds journeying seven furlongs on the main track (Post Time 4:12 p.m. EDT).

No. 6 PIPELINE (4-1) earned strong speed ratings in his last two starts on the main track at Saratoga including a maiden victory at this distance Sept. 4. Blinkers really seemed to help and John Velazquez stays aboard. His early-pressing versatility should lead to a good trip.

No. 9 Runway Magic (12-1) exits a nice flat mile win at Churchill Downs, and he easily graduated at this distance last fall. An outside stalking trip is expected.

No. 8 Cool Quest (4-1) returned to dirt and aired in his six panel maiden win at Churchill Downs Sept. 25. He might be the one to catch.

No. 1 Soup and Sandwich (3-1) makes his first start since fading to last place in the Kentucky Derby (G1). He ran well in his other three starts and should be forwardly placed from the rail.
