#9 CE CE (9-2) earned strong numbers in both Santa Anita starts and she drew perfectly for this. Victor Espinoza stays put and she drilled a bullet for this May 31.

#1 Serengeti Empress (5-2) is a need to lead type. She inexplicably got loose at 13-1 in the Kentucky Oaks, and her only shot is to control the pace today. She probably won’t do that with #3 Cookie Dough (6-1), #5 Fancy Dress Party (10-1), and #7 Guarana (2-1) in the field. The latter romped in the slop April 19 and could be a good one for Chad Brown.

#6 Proud Emma (20-1) adds blinkers and attracts Flavien Prat. She is slowly improving for Peter Miller and this looks like a good distance for her. She can spice up the exotics.
