Monday's Best Bet: Spin a Yarn has story to tell in Arctic Queen

Monday’s 8th race from Finger Lakes is the $50,000 Arctic Queen Stakes for New York-bred fillies and mares dashing six furlongs on the main track (Post Time 4:33 p.m. ET).

#7 SPIN A YARN (4-1) won all six local starts and is perfect in four races at six panels. She should be all over the pace and is probably the one to catch at a speed friendly distance.

#2 Miss Jimmy (3-1) is a consistent, versatile mare exiting a front running win at Saratoga. She almost always fires exacta shots at Finger Lakes, and she drilled a bullet for this engagement Sept. 25.

#3 Letmetakethiscall (5-2) captured five of her last seven starts including a romping win in the Xtra Heat at Aqueduct March 27. The two-time local winner makes her first start in more than six months and figures to attend the pace.

#5 Hannah Dances (8-1) exits a show finish in the slop in the Union Avenue at Saratoga. The early-pressing type won six of her last seven local attempts.

#6 Wailin Josie (6-1) fired trifecta shots in seven of her last ten starts, and she ran well in both local attempts. She should be finishing and might land a share.
