No. 6 Recorder (5-1) got pace help and drove home at this course and distance June 13. His new trainer is struggling at the current stand but has strong overall stats first after the claim. He should get pace to chase again and might make it two straight.

No. 7 Fleetridge (6-1) dueled, pushed to the fore, and was clearly second best behind Recorder June 13. Jon Arnett has good stats with his recent claims and he will probably try to press outside and pounce.

No. 2 Red Hurricane (9-5) aired in his dirt sprint maiden win at Turf Paradise May 3, and stretched out, battled through above par splits, and was best of the rest in 3rd at this venue May 30. I am not sure he wants to go this far, especially if the pace heats up, and sharp class riser #3 Grand Design (8-1) might be breathing down his neck again.

No. 5 Mr. Thunderstruck (4-1) stretches back out and finished in the top three in five of his last seven starts. He is 1-for-13 overall and might rally for a share.

No. 4 Needabetterjock (3-1) was no threat in his last two local tries. He has struck twice at this distance and will probably stalk the pace.

No. 1 Blame Eli (10-1) turned back and rallied wide in his local maiden win June 3, and the show finisher was a next-out winner. He needs to run faster to compete with these.
