Monday’s 8th race from Remington Park is a $34,000 entry level allowance event for fillies and mares traveling a mile and a sixteenth on the turf course (Post Time 6:46 p.m. EST).
No. 10 LEMON DROP TINI (12-1) finally graduated after endless chances in a local turf route Oct. 8, and she got out there and was part of a controlled tempo as the favorite that day. She fired trifecta shots in her last six turf starts and is probably the one to catch in a race lacking front end speed. Her trainer Bart Hone has strong stats with his recent graduates trying winners for the first time, and the light bulb came on last time.
No. 1 Say Hey (7-2) is a Woodbine transplant making her first start for Steve Asmussen, and the closing mare is winless in five attempts at this distance. I would not be surprised if she was competitive in this spot and she figures to save ground stalking slow fractions.
No. 5 She’sskysthelimit (6-1) ran well without winning in all four local turf outings. There is not much early pace in this race and she will probably end up in a forward position, and she might get first run.
No. 8 Gastown (8-1) exits a late running win from the outside post as the favorite in a local $15k/2L claiming turf affair Nov. 6. Her new trainer shows a profit first after the claim and she will try to get involved late.
