Monday's Best Bet: Leader of the Band shows the way at Parx

Monday’s 9th race from Parx Racing is an optional claiming event for three-year-old fillies journeying seven furlongs on the main track (Post Time 4:31 p.m. ET).

#1 LEADER OF THE BAND (5-2) owns the best overall pace ratings and might be able to shake loose early from the rail. She finished in the top three in all four local starts and this is her longest test to date.

#3 Peyton Elizabeth (5-1) turns back and moves to the sharp Robert Reid barn. She graduated in a local route last fall and figures to stalk the pace.

#4 Love in Her Eyes (7-2) raced wide and ended up four lengths behind Leader of the Band April 6. She won her other two local starts and is entered for the $50k tag.

#1 to win
