No. 7 HARD COUNT (2-1) sprinted on turf in his last pair and that is not really his thing. He ran well in a pair of all-weather sprints at Gulfstream Park over the winter and finished an okay 3rd in his lone local try last fall. He is back in the Mark Hoffman barn and is fast enough to take this event.
No. 2 Nice Ace (9-5) ran well in all eight local tries and Pablo Morales booted him home three times last year. He is probably going to move forward in his second start after a layoff.
No. 5 Tempus (6-1) is fairly reliable from off the pace in local synthetic sprints. He can fire a fresh shot and Scott Spieth rides him well.
