Monday's Best Bet: Bow Town Cat can show the way at Parx

January 07, 2019 11:01am

Monday’s ninth race from Parx is a $46,000 entry level allowance event for fillies and mares traveling seven furlongs on the main track (Post Time - 4:01 p.m. ET).

#3 BOW TOWN CAT (6-1) set the pace and held the place in her last two local sprints. She won both of her seven-panel starts at Parx last year and might not look back.

#6 Caramel Cream (3-1) won a trio of two-turn races last year (two local wins at one mile) and was an OK third at this distance in June. She added blinkers in a show finish Dec. 19.

#7 Norma’s Charm (2-1) is 1-for-21 with eight minor awards. She was overmatched in four stakes races last year and she missed by a neck in a similar course/distance affair Nov. 18.

#4 Justin Time (12-1) moved to the Abbott barn and looked good graduating in a local Pennsylvania-bred sprint on Nov. 19. She figures to track the pace under Frankie Pennington and can compete here with another forward move.
