No. 4 MOVE OVER (7-2) might be the right one after racing evenly in his last pair. He reconnects with his winning rider Umberto Rispoli and might move up second after a layoff. Look for him to duplicate his winning stalk and pounce Feb. 26 trip from a middle post.
No. 2 Proud Pedro (3-1) is a new gelding dropping out of the optional claiming ranks. He won two turf routes at longer distances in 2020 and went off form after that. Leonard Powell is enjoying a fine meet and he reunites with his winning pilot Juan Hernandez.
No. 7 Via Egnacia (7-2) stretched back out, carved out lively splits, and missed by a neck in a similar flat mile turf affair in his May 6 return. Emily Ellingwood stays put and she is probably on a send mission from the outside post.
No. 3 Frontier Market (4-1) completed the trifecta in three of four turf starts this year. He has not won since 2019 but this is his preferred trip and he probably finishes somewhere in the top three if he maintains form.
