Friday's Best Bet: Lady Beth can improve in Winter Memories

No. 10 Lady Beth (8-1) looked good winning her all-weather route bow at Gulfstream on Feb. 5. She was the beaten favorite in the Soaring Softly at seven panels last time, but she may have needed the race and the distance was probably too short. Flavien Prat knows her now and Chad Brown’s filly should offer value.

No. 8 Tax Implications (7-2) was part of the exacta in her first four turf starts. She raced evenly in the Lake Placid last time and can bounce back at her winning distance.

No. 6 Sweetlou’sgotaces (8-1) moves to the Graham Motion barn and he is a quality layoff trainer. She easily captured the Tepin Stakes at this course and distance last fall.

No. 1 Liguria (4-1) ended her juvenile campaign with a stakes win at Del Mar, and she captured the Wild Applause at Belmont earlier this year under Friday’s rider Irad Ortiz Jr. She graduated in a local turf route last fall.

No. 3 Sacred Wish (6-1) placed in a pair of graded dirt routes this season. Dam has produced a turf winner and she drilled a local turf bullet on Sept. 8.
