#7 BIG RUNNUER (3-1) fired trifecta shots in all six starts, and added blinkers and won his last pair. The fresh, versatile horse does some of his best work at this course and distance.

#1 Wildman Jack (5-2) is back in a preferred turf sprint for Doug O’Neill. He won the Daytona (G3) at this course/distance May 23 and hustling jockey Abel Cedillo is probably a good choice for the early-pressing type.

#4 Grit and Curiosity (6-1) earned quality numbers in both dirt sprint wins at Oaklawn Park earlier this year. Peter Miller is a strong turf sprint trainer and this one fired in both turf attempts last year. The interesting returnee figures to stalk the pace.

#6 El Tigre Terrible (4-1) is a talented, versatile sophomore gelding for Peter Miller. He exits an extended dirt sprint stakes win vs. California-bred company, and he fired in both local turf sprint stakes attempts.

#5 Sparky Ville (6-1) flees the rail and owns running style versatility. He fits with these on his best day but is not the most reliable performer, and he is 0-for-4 at Santa Anita.

#2 Give Me the Lute (12-1) and #3 Mr Vargas (4-1) are both capable of impacting the pace. The former is a sharp Northern California shipper and the latter has not been seen since a fading 8th in this event last year.
