#5 ALMOST A FACTOR (8-1) had an uncomfortable trip from the inside post in the Cal Cup Oaks. She looked good in her maiden win at this course/distance under Geovanni Franco.

#7 California Kook (4-1) just missed 3rd from post 11 in the Cal Cup Oaks at this course/distance. Drayden Van Dyke rides her best and she fits with these.

#4 She’s Devoted (5-2) got up by a nose as the chalk in her local turf sprint bow. She stretches out for Richard Baltas, Joel Rosario stays put, and she is a threat if she handles a route of ground.

#1 Warrior’s Moon (3-1) landed the show from post 12 in the common Cal Cup Oaks. She reconnects with winning rider Flavien Prat and should save ground stalking the pace.

#8 Sassyserb (7-2) responded to aggressive handling in a front running maiden score Jan. 11. Abel Cedillo stays put and he might be on a send mission from the outside post.

#6 Teachers Big Dream (8-1) was competitive throughout in all three starts at one mile. Her only win was on dirt, but she ran well in both flat mile turf outings (3rd both times) and should make her presence felt throughout under Umberto Rispoli.
