How did I get into racing?
I love horses and was raised around racking, aps, quarter horses and tenn walkers. When I was little people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up and I would always say.."A Jockey"..I'm 5 feet tall and 119 pounds and its a shame I grew up in Alabama.."no tracks here"...lol.I have never been excited about TB racing until Smarty Jones came along.Thats when I really got into it.Ive loved racing ever since:) I researched most of the greats and more than few that couldve been great but fell short due to injury. They are beautiful to me..even the ones that dont win.I dont knock people for their Favs..they are Favs for a reason..either they touch your heart by showing us theirs or they help you find your spirit...something so simple as watching something do what it loves to do and be great at it can inspire you no matter what sport. Most of all..it brought my Dad and I closer together.Gives us one more thing in common that we both love besides football and fishing:)

Favorite racing moment?
Watching Zenyattas first win and knowing I was going to witness greatness,in the moment with my own eyes as it was happening until she retired. It was the first time I followed a horse from the start of its career til the end.Reading everything I could about her. What a ride;)Special thanks to Rachel A because I kept up with her accomplishments as well. What a wonderful time for fillys it was. Both were a joy and a thrill to watch.Secretariat winning the Belmont is my all time favorite ...theres so many great classic races its hard to rate them.John Henry is also one of my all time favs...so many greats were before my time but I'm glad I can watch races from the past.
