If love is going to lead me astray, then so be it. Fell in love with Union Rags in October of last year and haven't waivered since. The problem is, however, that the BEST horse does NOT always win the Kentucky Derby.
Nice piece on Lawyer Ron. he was one of my favorites and I thought he would be a very important sire. I look forward to his limited progeny.
Am I the only one that is looking for a dead heat between the top two? I don't want to see either Blind Luck OR Havre de Grace lose!
Congratulations Brian, I look forward to following you where ever you are. You are passionate and informative about our sport and always a good read.
Bad ride by Gomez, poor sportsmanship and inappropriate behavior by a trainer's wife, bad day for Lookin at Lucky, bad judgment call by the stewards to give Victor "days" and NOT GOMEZ?? Props to Baffert for staying cool and using his head. Props to Victor for doing just as he should have done.
Loved Devil May Care's effort in the Bonnie Miss, despite being very green in the lane. I think I found my Oaks filly.
Any comments on Rachel's latest work? She did not look as focused as she could have been. She was cross-firing leading into the work, was trying to get out a little down the lane and needed a few taps on the shoulder in the gallop out. How much did she really get out of that?
I'm with you Jarrod, the stewards were asleep on this one. Elkhorn Creek was nearly knocked down.
I thought the same thing about the banner on the home page. It's like looking into a crystal ball....
