Uncle Mo just looks so much better than the other 3 year olds. I just hope he has a safe trip today and can make it to the starting gate of the Kentucky Derby. He is as dominant as Eskendreya was last year. He is like Big Brown was - he's in a class by himself. People say he's dodging the competition. That's total BS. If he had raced in the Florida Derby, half of those horses would have gone to the Wood. It's the other horses who are avoiding Uncle Mo. Safe trip to all of the horses - especially Uncle Mo!
I agree 100% Brittany! It's like several years back when there was Big Brown and then everyone else. I see the Derby to be a repeat of last year's Breeder's Cup Juvenile. Unlce Mo was so much better and Johnny V. didn't even ask him to go down the stretch.
Uncle Mo didn't break a sweat getting an 89 Beyer in the TW. Most of this year's Derby contenders are going all out to earn in the 90s. I think we'll see Mo run a low 100s in the Wood and Johnny V won't even use the whip. The key to winning the Derby is having your horse peak at the right time. I think Mo is a lock, just like Big Brown was.
I agree. The Factor was very impressive. If he sets a pace like that, it will only improve Uncle Mo's chances. I can see him sit 3 or 4 lengths back and then pounce at the top of the stretch. We haven't seen the top gear in Uncle Mo yet. Even at the BC Juvenile, he was hand ridden. Providing the track conditions are good, he's a lock on the Derby and Preakness. The Belmont is another story.
