Since Rachel Alexandra only had 2 offsprings and probably wont have another I would not have any issues if both retired early and were held for the breeding,
IMO this year would be the year to run her in the Classic. Never know what can happen in a year as age can creep up on you overnight. Other thing is Shared Belief should be ready to go next year if he healed properly and don't have set backs due to his injury
While we are speculating on whether or not Liam's Map can challenge the BCC field I can only hope and pray that Todd Pletcher is prepping this guy with full confidence that not only can he be a challenger but can be the winner. I like alot of others in this field very well but there is something about this map
that seems to point a path to the hidden treasure. LOL
Looked like Moreno and Noble Bird may have forced him into those fast fractions and they started to burn out around the 1:09 time frame. I think your assessment is a good one
Thanks for the update , great news
I'm going with Frosted, Mr. Z, Upstart, War Story
I would love to see him in the classic. Distance may or may not be a problem. That same question was brought up about Beholder before she won the Pacific Classic.
I recall them saying that she was a small filly also. But wasn't Lady's Secret on the small side also
Don't rule out Liam's Map in the Breeders Cup if he takes that route. He has ran 2 strong races and has been lightly raced this year. He also has good speed
7,2,5,8. is how I see it Would however like to see Liam's Map in the wines circlem
