Please do not think that this is out of sarcasm. What year are we exactly in currently???? How many chances have there been in between. Let me update you ,he won the 2 yr old jeuvenile 2 years ago.
Fact is fact, when does Pletcher win big races at Santa Anita???????
The easy toss out here was Jack Milton, took money and was nowhere. They will never let Todd win on the West Coast, and that is with all horses. Not Todds comfort zone in SoCal. Beware when selecting premature HOTY honors.
Todd has let loose 2 nice ones on back to back days.
They were waiting for this one with open arms . Won like a champ
Railbird there is nothing wrong with being lucky and cashing. Unnfortunately to some,it is not acceptable. You scored out, good for you and anyone else that hit it. Give me luck over being knowledgable any day of the week.
Without reading the article Mike,i to agree with Beyer on this. Smart and shrewd connections do not avoid the Preakness fearing their horses will not perform off of such a short layoff. They skip the race because of the future ramifications a stressful race like this can have on their horses. I agree with your point that most of the horses under normal circumstances would fare better here than at a Mile and a half.
Who cares about Vyjack winning or losing this race. The fun part is you Rafi,go back to what i told you on Sunday nite. You will eventually shame yourself again. When Jenna took you to task with your redundant quotes you ran and hid. As Bradley you have so many of the same catch phrases. Then the Lisa,Lisa usage of the name. Exactly how you used to do it. What you say about me is irrelevant, spew all you want. Just state what you want as the real you. You are entitled to your thoughts. Like John Barbaro and probably Bradley. This will get hidden in the closet. just one final question. I enjoy for the most par chatting with 95% of the posters here (guess what grouping you are under) I am sure i am also on your 5 % list. The question is,how can you look at yourself in the mirror when you attempt to deceive teese people. Is it that important to be loved and make people think that you know what you are talking about.
Also glossed over that in the BC Classic, wtc beat him by about 10 lengths. Yet somehow 2nd and 5th sure sounds a tad more competetive. Like saying i ran a match race at 100 meters against the superstar from Jamaica. He ran it in under 10 seconds,i ran it in 30 seconds. Yet if i were having a beer with friends, all i would say is that he ran 1rst and i ran 2nd. Nobody is downgrading PM. He is an amazing race horse,Todd has done an incredible job with him. These chest thumping bravado cheers that he is the best in the World are heart warming to all. The boasts that his name has already been etched on the 2014 HOTY are appealing. Just remember what will win the Award ,not only for PM but any other worthy contestant. First and foremost, the voters have to lose their love affair with Dan. Then,if you win the BC Classic and then any 2 of the following races. You will be a near lock for the award. The Whitney,The JCGC or The Met Mile. The reason i say nearly a lock. There is a 3yo named California Chrome, should he sweep the Triple Crown. The title is his.
I read their explanation ,personally i can't accept it. It is based on what the track was listed. To begin with,i have been at the tracks many a time and people are scratching their heads as to what the track was listed. Sometimes the sign good is up and the track is fast. That is not important,it is always a subjective matter and can never or ever be quantified. My argument with the speed guys is that if the track were sooooooooooo slow when PM ran his race. How on earth was it possible for a maiden who ran one non descript race in his lifetime ,to win in such a fast time without the slightest urging by daylight. He resembled Pegasus on Sunday. Does that mean that if he were urged he could of gone 1.08 on a dead surface. Also the winner of the filly race was a previous graded Stakes winner. Believe me,i have been to Belmont Park when the track gets fast. They run miles in 1.33 and 7F in 1.21 . As a gambler i love gaffes like this by the speed figure makers. Because the next time any of these horses run, i know that they were bogus numbers. Happens with all of them. Not just Byer or Timeform. So if we take Timeform seriously,we are to believe that PM ran the fastest race of his life on a day he probably exerted 70 % effort. My lord what sort of a figure would he of run if he were seriously asked by Johnnie V. Timform, have you ever issued a Speed figure of 150??
