Wow Mucho Macho Man loves GP his 46.48 3rd and 4th quarters proved that last year. By the way thats the 2nd fastest 3rd and 4th quarters i know of the first by Dr. Fager 46.1/5. MMM better be on the lead or 2nd because he seem to run in spots when further back. Fort Larned at Prm ran the 3rd fastest last 3f. that i know of in 35.1/5 seconds the results is what i expected at the Breeders cup.
If you make Wise Dan the miler #1 then you must consider sprinters for horse of the year correct? That's called lowering the bar sorry that's the way it has allways been.
In his Praire Meadows race he ran his last 3f. in a smokin 35.1/5 seconds, yes the pace was slow but that is one of the fastest splits i have ever seen. Only Mineshaft's 34.7 was faster and that was a one turn Belmont romp.
Game on Dude and Ron The Greek are frauds wait till BC. The Greek won the Big Cap when the ran 44.2/5 109.0 the in Kentucky were the Last 1/8 was run in 14.2/5 by the speed horses. Game on Dude hasn't faced top class early/presser types like Mucho Macho Man and Fort Larned.
AnnaK the reason NE Africans kick butt is first they are built "Bird like" very little mass plus they get the country's best athelete's and it's their national sport. Japan in Judo, China in Table Tennis, South Korea in Archery
They race less now because the trainer's are scared plain and simple, all they can think about is the big pay day (sindication). We blame it on the breeding yet the Euro's get a lot of our horse's and kick ass. Bred in USA.
His first race of the year he ran his 3rd-4th quarters in 46.48 that's when i knew Macho was the real deal. Very few horses can do that period, even though the pace was slow. Fort Larned ripped a 35.1/5 last 3f. prior to his latest win at 7-1 odds off a slow pace of course. Nates mineshaft ran a 23.12 4th quarter prior to winning a Grade II by 7 lengths at 9-1 odds. Most people dicard slow paced races a big mistake!!
Fort Larned maybe tasted the whip once, then opened up 5 lenghts the jock did little else he knew it was in the bag. the bag
The pace of the Big Cap was 22.26 44.55 109.08 and hooked and he was the only real closure in the field. The Stephen Foster last 1/8 was run in 14.2/5 seconds by Nates Mineshaft who hasn't worked since. Ron The Greek is the luckest horse alive.
