thecat: thanks to your posting, I have been watching & inquiring into Tony Richey. The more I ask, the more discouraged I become. From information from other trainers, vets, owners, & business men related, I will definitely stay away from Tony Richey. Crook & snake are the two words that keep coming up. I understand that Joey is no longer associated with him. From what I understand, Tony would not pay Joey his earned % of winnings that is owed. From speaking with other owners, I don't believe it is all Tony but also his new wife who is "money hungry". I know what the stats report and have been told that Joey left sometime in mid June. Recent LaD races definitely show the horses in his stable are not running like they used to. I believe you are correct regarding claiming a horse and then dropping it to the bottom. From what I can find out, Joey is a great trainer and the one who stayed at the barn to make sure everything ran smoothly. Recent "gossip" is all at the barn is not well and that Tony's deceptive behavior is bigger than ever. Martinez88, sounds like you need to change trainers ASAP
Was thinking about sending a few runners that direction.In review of the DD 2010 Thb Meet, I fail to see any type of slump as you indicate. I am interested in your comment, as you quote "they" and you remark "bunch of bad tests". Please be specific as a review of LSRC records don't indicate what you are alleging.
