Great tribute and I was lucky to watch him run in person. He was too young to pass but at least we know he is in heaven with all the other legends :)
I have never been to the races in Del Mar but spent many summers surfing the beaches. Its a great town. But for me Saratoga is like going home to the North Shore of Oahu and surfing the best waves in the world. So Saratoga it is for me and that is why Im here now. I'd love to go to Del Mar for the races one day but its not a priority. I like to fly over Cali on my way to Oahu :)
I guess those who said he was a fluke are eating their words! MTB isnt a fluke, he hasnt been off the board since winning the Derby. Give credit where credit is due. He is a very nice horse and you are all mad you went against the Birdstones. How could anyone bet against a Birdstone? Duh, class horse all the way.
1/2 second off Belmont track record for 5 1/2 furlongs
