Good info I'll take it into consideration. You and I are on the same page with the other 3 no question.
I am thinking the same thing jmac. I hope the track is decent so I can just throw him out. His run in the slop at the Derby has people moving him up but I'm just not too sure. Possibly if it is sloppy again but I am thinking not if the track is ok.
This horse is just fun to watch run. Anyone know what his status is?
Golden Soul is one that I don't know what to do with. This is the wild card. I'll prob do a tri with those 3 and go with Palace Malice across the board. We shall see!!
Orb, Palace Malace, Revolutionary. Not seeing Freedom Child as a contender. Can't imagine Oxbow hanging on. I do like Palace Malice across the board.
I think Orb is the horse to beat in the Belmont but I do think Palace Malice has a realistic chance at pulling off the upset.
They also just picked 5 weeks of racing in November and into December. This with switching to dirt and widening the turf course. Sad Hollywood is closing but happy that my home track is stepping it up.
I believe that Santa Anita has a capacity of 50,000 and Del Mar has a capacity of 40,000. Santa Anita can seat 26,000 while I do not know how many people Del Mar can seat it does not appear to be drastically less than Santa Anita. A Breeders Cup in the middle of summer in Del Mar on the beach would be the best.
This is an interesting story about how the closing of Hollywood Park will effect Del Mar and Santa Anita. If the article is true it sounds like Del Mar is going to widen the turf course to take a run at hosting a Breeders Cup and they are seriously considering going back to dirt. http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2013/May/21/del-mar-horse-racing-/?#article-copy
sdj777 I do not doubt his ability at 1 1/16 or less at the G3 level.
