@LaneFukuda. Do you truly believe that a recidivist violator with multiple suspensions like Asmussen whose violations make O'Neill look like a saint, would not have recieved same or similar treatment?
If this guy continues to progress and is running as a 4YO (A big IF) he is a natural for the Strub series then logically the HGC, Pacific Classic, Goodwood and BCC.
In the words of immortal trainer Woody Stevens "Once you cross the Hudson, those buildings get awfully tall.” IHA is without a doubt the cream of the crop, but you just never know when they are gonna hit the wall. Here's to hoping it will be some time after the Belmont.
If you really think the 6 yo Goldikova had only lost a step well.... your opinion. Her performance on the track would suggest something else. She routinely handled horses like Immortal Verse prior to her final season and her final BC run was sub-par to say the least. If you think her final season was up to or even close to her previously established standard again, your opinion. As to her not competing admirably V Zarkava in the Pouliches she was beaten by maybe two lengths in record time. Most would say she acquitted herself quite well.
In fairness, when Goldikova was defeated by Immortal Verse, Dream Ahead and CC, she was in her final year of competition and decidedly over the top. The Goldikova that throttled Dick Turpin, Paco Boy, Proviso etc and gave Zarkava a run for her money would have made short work of that trio.
Is this the same Mable Roberts who said the West Coast doesn't have it this year or next year?
That comment is so non-sensical i'm pretty sure it will be left to die on the vine. But if I had a delete key I would hit it.
IHA, Went The Day Well over Tiger Walk, CC & Bodemeister
Santa Anita dirt conversion claims another victim. Effin shame.
John Henry ran 83 races with 39 victories. 7 Eclipse awards and twice Horse of the Year. Essentially JH and Round Table were such outstanding animals that IMO you could argue either side and not be wrong.
