I think the title is on the line in the distaff. If Beholder or Don't tell Sophia wins the will probably get the award. That being said it was definitely an off day and assuming she is healthy we will see a different Close Hatches in the Breeders Cup.
Completely agree Ryan Moore was the difference maker.

Really insightful writing. Everybody always thinks the extra 1/2 mile will give the closers more time to get there. Sounds like Chromes running style will be perfect for the race.
NBC Sports does a pretty good job with the under card but when the switch over to regular NBC the skip races to rehash human interest stuff.
In multi-race wagering if the the scratch happens after the sequence of races has already started they give you the post time favorite instead of the horse you had that scratched. In this case it was Somali Lemonade who won the race, who you already had, which gave you two winning tickets.
Short post TC career but Holy Bull is up there.
It looks like 9f is about his limit, and I agree he looks like he would be really tough at the mile distance. Hope he runs in the BC Dirt mile.
